About Minecraft Education edition . when you try and join on other different types of computers. I won't work

me and my friends are doing a project in one of out classes. The one problem with this is that when we try and join each other on different devices it won't work. we don't know why but I was wondering if you can help us with this. we know this because we can all join on the same computers because we use the digital technology class. but there is not enough computers in the class for all the students that are all so doing the same project as us. If you can fix it this well make me and my class happy that we all can do our work. : )
