Unnamed ocelots despawning

While trying to collect ocelots for a zoo in my survival world the ocelots keep despawning. No matter if they are leaded to a fence or inside of one, they disappear without a name tag, unlike other passive mobs. Even the ones that are bred to not run away form the player despawn if you get far away.

This applies to all mobs in Minecraft. All mobs that were not named by tags disappear after a while.

@Mikhail I was pretty sure the ones that were in a fence or tied with a lead also didn't despawn.

No, if it isn’t named it despawns

@DogEatingSpaghetti even if it's tied to a lead?

Yeah, no matter if it’s tied or not
