In the inventory, I have to drag and drop a block in order to move it

In order to craft or move blocks in the inventory, I have to drag and drop them. If I try to place individual blocks, I have to hold down the left trigger and click with the right trigger rather than just clicking it once and clicking again to place it in the inventory.
