[MC-229889] No sound after being AFK

After being AFK and my computer went into standby mode, the game lost all of its sound. This bug happens to me and a friend very often when we leave our PC and come back to it after quite some time. I have tried to to change in game sound levels and tried to switch from headphones to speakers from desktop but the sound doesn't come back. The problem is gone only after we exit Minecraft and start it back up

Switching audio output devices whilst the game is running will cause sound not to be heard until you relaunch the game. (MC-44055)

Does this issue occur outside of Minecraft? If not, please provide some screenshots or videos demonstrating this behavior whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled.
