most of minecraft item is smaller then the blcok itself
but roots as an item is so big even bigger then when it's placed

Duplicate of MC-225816, which has been fixed in 1.17.1 Pre-release 1. You've marked this version as affected however, this issue doesn't appear to exist in this particular version.
