Despite needing a 2x2 grid of dark oak saplings to grow a dark oak tree single dark oak saplings still consume bone meal despite it being unable to grow with a single sapling

Reproduce

• Get a dark oak sapling

• Place it

• Start bone mealing it
  ❌ Notice that it takes bone meal despite the fact single dark oak saplings can't make a tree

This isn't MC-36408 since that report talks about no existence of a single dark oak tree this report talks about how bone meal can be applied resulting in unwanted consumption of bone meal
