I have a pond near my house that is walled off using cobblestone walls. i added 8 Axolotls into the pond and within minutes they were just swimming up against one side of the wall. There were no fish behind the walls but there was water. There was also a conduit inside the walls but when i broke it nothing changed. I was playing on a server so that might have something to do with it.
