When I trade glass panes with cartographer villagers, my game freezes

When I trade glass panes with my cartographer villagers in my singleplayer hardcore world, my game freezes. I can't interact with anything, I get stuck in elytra mode and when I try to close the game, it gets stuck on the saving game screen. I saw that this issue was resolved in 1.14.2 MC-154150, but this happened in 1.17 and 1.17.1.
