axolotls disappear

me and my friends axolotls have been disappearing i went on reddit and saw this is a big issue! i name tagged many of mine and got them from buckets, feed them, gave them a deep pond, keep them safe, and even put them on a lead hoping that would keep them. it did not. all of them just disappear in a few hours, this is getting very annoying. I love these mobs / pets, but they just disappear. :/ :< can someone please help it seems to be a big bug! ive had no other issues with the new update and I actually really enjoy it! thank you for reading
