[MC-234131] Server Connection Issue

My issue comes from not being about to jump onto a server created by a friend in AUS (I'm in USA) I type in the server information, and get met with this message "Internal Exception:io.netty.handler.codec.DecorderException:Java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 84 out of bounds for length 5."

We reason that it is due to me being on my phone hotspot? Or just from poor internet connectivity? But does this mean something specific?

So, The solution that I found was that I had the wrong server address sent to me.

I entered the new address in the proper place and got through just fine. It was not a number address but a letter address like an email (nameofsomething.xxxx.xx)
