when I log into the normal Minecraft launcher it states that I am in a demo version so I moved to the website to change my Mojang account to a Microsoft one, but when I went to the website to change it there is no indicator for switching the accounts, I have seen the "how to switch your account" and there was just no option there. So I came here because I already downloaded the Minecraft java version and did not let me use it.

Mojang is doing account migration in batches, the reason why it probably isn't giving you a prompt is because you aren't one of the people in the current batch that Mojang is migrating at the moment.
