Error purchasing minecraft

Hi minecraft support, I would just like to report a (major) bug that makes it so that you can't buy Minecraft with a card, and thousands of other people have been experiencing it, I am 100% sure I have the right payment details, and I have permission to use my mom's credit card. But everytime it just says "Error placing order, please check your payment information." I have triple checked, refresh browser, switched browsers and even used a VPN. But non seemed to work, so please look into this issue, thanks.
