[MC-234672] Can't play with friend

Hello, I'm a player using Minecraft Java Edition. But, if I open a LAN server and a friend writes server name and IP, he's Minecraft 1.17.1 said An error has occurred! So I hope you add a friend add function. And I would like to be able to add friends with a Gamertag. Thank you!

I believe you have to be connected to the same internet to play on a LAN server together, though I could be wrong.

Please could you provide the exact error message(s) that you or your friend are receiving upon attempting to connect to one another's LAN world? Also, attaching some screenshots or videos of this problem occurring would be greatly appreciated and quite useful. Thanks 🙂
