[MC-235019] a lot of zombie pigmen in overworld

I was in the nether for about an hour working on a gold farm, I then came back to overworld and there were atleast 30 zombie pigmen around my portal and a couple magma cubes. I have been in the nether before even near my portal and only ever once or twice seen a zombie pigman but after changing from 1.17 to 1.17.1 I found a lot.

What was the "randomTickSpeed" gamerule set to at the time of when this issue occurred?

I had cheats off, nothing should have been changed so it should have been 3

Please ensure that this value wasn't changed. If you're 100% certain of this, please provide some additional screenshots or videos of this issue occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled.

since finishing my gold farm the issue hasn't been occuring anymore, I can only assume that since my portal is just under the nether roof, mobs could only spawn there and were walking into the portal on their own, sorry for the inconvinience
