When the player presses the "Quit Game" button in the main menu screen, it plays the generic button click sound but immediately closes the game, cutting off most of the sound and leaving the player with only a hardly-noticeable static tick (compared to other menu buttons playing the full sound). Delaying closing by a few milliseconds, or allowing the sound to fully play despite closing would give the click sound time to finish playing.
This issue may also apply to the "Disconnect" button in the pause menu of multiplayer servers.

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
