[MC-235579] when i try to tame an ocelot the fish is gone but i cant pick up anything in that slot

if you have a full inventory with salmon an you want to tame an ocelot, you can give him the fish but he wont be your pet, and the game thinks that you still have the fish in your inventory but you cant see it so you cant pick up any item on the ground, to fix that you need to relog to the world and then you can see the fish

Cant reproduce in vanilla minecraft (1.17.1). and as Avoma said , You are using Optifine

However, this issue is Invalid.

Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.

Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
