Issues accessing account after migration

I am trying to recover my account now that I have migrated to Microsoft, but when I log in none of my account information is present. Also, when I open up the Mojang window to log in with my microsoft account, it's not recognizing my account information. Can we link the two? I'm not sure what's happening but if I purchase another Java, I'll lose all my info and have to start from scratch.
