The Bug:
The shadow of certain characters can appear outside of the text background opacity box.
Steps to Reproduce:
Ensure that the "Line Spacing" option is set to 0% in your chat settings.
Ensure that the "Text Background Opacity" option in your chat settings, is set to anything above 50% to make reproducing this much easier.
Paste the following characters into chat and press enter.
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzLook closely near the bottom of the text background opacity box.
Take note as to whether or not the shadow of certain characters can appear outside of the text background opacity box.
Observed Behavior:
The shadow of certain characters can appear outside of the text background opacity box.
Expected Behavior:
The shadow of certain characters would not be able to appear outside of the text background opacity box.

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
