I recently posted a feedback about the fact that mojang applied chunck blending in structures like trees, just before the 21w43a snapshot came out. Now I tried the newest snapshot and mojang has now applied chunck blending on terrain. But I quickly noticed the feature of trees is removed. It is still on trees from the 1.18 side of my world, but the trees on the 1.17 side are splitted at the edge of the screen.
Edit: it seems to apply on some biomes and also doesn't. It mainly happens on dark forests. I'm pretty sure that on 21w42a those trees were not splitted in half. This is the same world.

@Avoma you are wrong. Mike Shultz seems to reported a problem with blending a different version than 1.17 with the newest update. It is not the problem I described.

I can say that the bug has been fixed. By applying biome blending to the different version chuncks, they automatically blended trees and even generated some more of them behind the border. But this bug fix is not marked as being fixed in the patch notes.
It turns out I didn't look further enough. I now found another tree cutted in half again in the 1.18 pre release
This bot is so broken. MC-239878 is not similar to this bug.
