Hi Mojang!
Already kudos for creating implementing the blending-technology!
Verifying it by going around the "island" where i live and reviewing the new biomes around it, i do notice a very (very) high probability in cold biomes. This additionally causes a lot of strange ice-fields surrounding the main island.
All screenshots are taken in order of going around the main island.
Have added (using chunkbase an overview of the biomes)
1.14_seed -> the "original"
Seed_1_14-blended > the very basic paint-edit showing where now an icy biome is;
Within you'll also see that some of the structures (portal / village) have been dropped in some strange locations.
(I know this is the first iteration and some work is still planned.. and therefore already KUDOS for implementing this!!! the elevations & transitions already look good. Just a bit warmer now 😉)
grtz

I guess this issue can be closed.
After the released 1.18 seed-info on chunkbase, i do see the "new" map-content.
The 1.18-seed map does show a humongous "cold" region at the same location for the 1.14-seed.
So i guess the resolution is "expected behavior as implemented"
However the transition on water between chunks could be a little less straight edgy. (see previous images)
