Sticky Piston is Not Working

I was on a server that my friend made. It works exactly like a normal world, there's no plugins or anything on it. I was trying to make a piston door just for fun, but the top piston isn't working properly. I have it built so that when you press the button, the door opens, but only the bottom piston is working when the button is pressed. I tried to do some modifications on my redstone, but nothing worked. I show my redstone in one of the attatched images.
