I was just playing minecraft and suddenly my pc started lagging very much. I thought that it was a normal issue but when I restarted my pc my world was automatically deleted and all my progress was lost.

More details are needed in the description because it's not possible to know what is going on from just three words. A detailed description of what happened is needed.

Also post the PC specifications and Java options, especially the -Xmx setting, if any.
