Reloaded a Minecraft map from 1.17.1 with CavesAndCliffs Datapack (removed before loading the world), and I can see that Blending don't work perfectly

Can confirm in 1.18 pre 1.

Very similar to MC-239878 that was resolved as Won't Fix, but this report is using the CavesAndCliffs Datapack whereas the other report was relating to worlds generated in 21w06a to 21w14a

I am 99% sure that when the preview datapack was first released it was said that updating was not going to be made compatible

Will it be possible to upgrade worlds that use the Data Pack to the full Caves & Cliffs Part 2 release later this year?

Upgrading to the Part 2 release (1.18) will not be supported for worlds that use the Caves & Cliffs Prototype Data Pack.
