Aquifers can intersect village structures

The Bug:

Aquifers can intersect village structures.

Here is an example:

Version: 1.19.3

Seed: -5824459447003243610
Coordinates: /execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s 19100.24 44.00 354.93 216.11 -0.40

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Generate a world with the seed provided above and teleport to the given coordinates.

  2. Look closely at the generation of the village structure and its surroundings.

  3. Take note as to whether or not aquifers can intersect village structures.

Observed Behavior:

Aquifers can intersect village structures.

Expected Behavior:

Aquifers would not be able to intersect village structures.

Thanks for this report. Small nit: If you can include the seed in the description, this would help us ensure we are not mistyping the seed when recreating the world. This helps a lot. I got it wrong twice this time. 😞

Confirmed in this seed and location. I then generated a single biome desert biome and looked at about ~15 villages. Could not find another, so this seems very rare. If anyone finds another, please update us with a comment. Thanks!

Hi, I found an instance of this in 1.18.1. An aquifer generated extremely close to a village house which caused the glass pane within it to generate waterlogged, thus resulting in flowing water within the structure.

Version: 1.18.1

Seed: -5824459447003243610
Coordinates: /execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s 19104 46 346 386 23

The house is no longer there in 22w15a. However, this issue might still not be fixed.

Also affects other structures like Igloos (1.20.1)
