I apologize if this isn't the right way to submit this kind of information but I believe I have found the specific issue. From my testing I believe that if a world has had world generation edited from the original generation, such as changing the biomes, when upgrading the world to the 1.18 Pre-Releases or Release Candidates the existing biomes will be overridden with one biome. As can be seen in the screenshots I'm providing, the biome I'm in is a mountain which is near a Jungle and Savannah, which is in 1.17.1. However, when upgrading the world to 1.18 Release Candidate 3 the biome changes to Ocean and the Jungle and Savannah change into an ocean which is seen from the tint of the foliage. I have also provided the zipped worlds for both loaded in 1.17.1 and loaded in 1.18 Release Candidate 3. That all being said, I'm not sure if this counts as a bug to the world gen I'm providing being edited from the original seed of the world.

Again, I apologize if this isn't the correct way to be providing this information.

World in 1.17.1

World in 1.18 Release Candidate 3

Apologies for the update to my comment, had to find a better way to provide a download to the zipped world files for my screenshots.
