Mouse is stuck facing down

When I launch Minecraft: Java Edition the mouse is stuck facing down.
I have tried changing the mouse sensitivity but it does not help.

I have read other posts about disabling all other mouse related tasks and disabled various Razor Synapse tasks but don't see others.

One thing that would be odd about my environment although I don't think it should affect is that I am using Remote Desktop. Meaning the mouse is plugged into a different computer than the one Minecraft is running on.

I assume this is some simple configuration issue, although I didn't know which.

Any help would be appreciated!

I have installed Minecraft on the local computer (Which is Windows 10 btw) and the mouse issue does NOT occur. (I am able to look around in direction I am walking)

This leaves two factors I can think of

  • running on Windows 10 works but Windows 11 does not

  • OR that Remote Desktop is somehow not relaying mouse information to the app properly

The mouse also works fine inside the menus, just not when actively playing the game so it's very strange.
