IP field in the multiplayer menu will not detect the IP if a space is put at the beginning/end of it

Bug goes way way back it appears even in 1.8.9

Basically if you input an IP into a server ip field and accidentally put a space after it the game will not be able to recognize the ip.

This isn't an issue. A space counts as a character that networks can't read.

all you need to fix this is added 1 word all you have to add is .trim to the java args bruh its so easy to fix
