Some of my friends and I have a server and we had it in 1.17 but when we updated it to 1.18 and it was been super laggy and we can't pick up items or use entities. We are using paper to host the server so I am not sure if it is a problem with Mojang or with them but I thought I would just report this to be safe. Thanks so much for your time and consideration while making such a great update.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
