So I was trying to clear an area with regular stone, with my efficiency V Netherite pickaxe, and a haste 2 beacon going. So in 1.17.1 no problem but on my realm in 1.18 it only mines stone as fast as it does deepslate, which to my knowledge, that is not supposed to happen. If this can be fixed that would be awesome.

I am not sure however as I logged back in on my realm it appears that the problem is fixed so you can disregard this. I apologize for wasting your guys time.
I am not very technically minded, I can confirm that this is an issue. in a 1.18 singleplayer world, and in a server right now, i have efficiency V on 2 netherite pickaxes and the inventory screen is telling me I have haste 2 applied, and it will not insta-mine stone. in fact, it actually seems to have slowed down the breaking rate.
edit: just tested it out and i found the problem; it is somewhat related to MC-219507 as the beacon has to within the same chunk, but as that bug does not mention insta-mining (that I'm aware of didn't read the whole thing) I figured I'd post it here just so someone can see it
could be a duplicate of MC-219507 but you didn't say whether it was the pixkaxe side or the beacon side that was causing the problem.
So I could be wrong.
