When exploring ocean shipwrecks, treasure maps I've found are replaced with empty/blank maps. To clarify, when opening the maps, they do not show a map with an x on it, with a player icon off to the side, it's just a normal map. 10 Ships explored on my world, made on 12/2/21 on the current version of mc as of the making of this post.

This is not a duplicate. I have encountered the same issue, and "treasure" maps are generating as "empty" maps.
I am not certain it is a 'bug', as previous treasure map generation caused an issue where attempting to open a shipwreck map chest would cause the game to freeze until a buried treasure was loaded.
Please verify if this is an intended feature?
