Cannot ride horses on right click in Creative

Cannot ride horses on right click. just places me next to the horse. Happens constantly.
When i right click i should mount the horse, but i end up standing next to it. it happens tamed or untamed. Hitbox issue maybe?

I just right click on the horse and the i end up next to it. Only in Creative. works in survival
