minecraft Launcher constantly crashing after new update 1.18.1.
I cant even play the game. this happens after every update and its getting tiring!
Running on macbook pro OS 10.11.6 / El Capitan.
launcher keeps crashing and wont allow me to load game at all. continuously waiting for weeks at a time to be able to play with no update when issue has been resolved.
What I expected to happen was...:
The game to load and start
What actually happened was...:
the game still does not load and screen goes black, then error appears game stops does not load launcher
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start mine craft
2. press play - green button
3. mojang launcher does not even show
4. Black error screen shows and games does not load

I've been experiencing the same issue and Minecraft Help has been no help whatsoever after 2 weeks of messaging.
I am running OS X El Capitan (Version 10.11.6) which is the most up to date operating system that my mac supports
I have the recommended version of Java installed for this operating system which is Java 8 update 311 (released 19 Oct 2021)
I am trying to use the Minecraft launcher version 1036 (1)
Please can you confirm that you will continue to support my set-up and advise when the bug will be fixed or the update rolled back so that we can resume playing the game?

Still no update, tried to load again today and issue still there no change. I cant load 1.18
any updates?
