Riptiding through Nether Portals in Creative does not instantly transport the player to the Nether

Usually in creative, passing through a Nether Portal instantly transports the player to the Nether, however Riptiding through a Nether Portal (without hitting the sides) does not transport the player to the Nether, and simply lets them pass through.
