Crafting a copper block to cut copper stairs in Stone Cutter will result in 4 Cut Copper Stairs.
When crafting a copper block to cut copper block you need 4 to get 4. With these 4 you could make 4 Stairs in Stone Cutter.
This also happens with all copper block oxidation states and other results (Slab, stairs, block).
