[MC-248783] Multiple villagers on one job block

I continue to have to have an issue with two villagers taking the profession of the same job block. Sometimes they both try to due the same job, but most of the time, only the second villager does the job. The original villager with that job usually wanders as if its unemployed. The second villager on the same job block is always a novice, while the original retains its experience level.

It happened again just this week when I reported the bug. To clarify, I have never traded with the clones.

I understand that they attempted to fix the clone issue, but as of right now, I have 3 clones and counting at my Basecamp. So far, every baby villager that has spawned has grown up and became a clone.

You're welcome to re-skin and rename villagers. The brown clad villagers should not have job nor should you be able to trade with them.

I know, but I am able to trade with the clones. I thought about breaking the job block, but I don't want to lose the original villager from that block I've always traded with. As of now, I have not done any trading with any clone.

I have this exact issue. the villager whos is supposed to have that job refuses to retake the job block. THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING AND PAINFUL BUG IN ALL OF MINECRAFT. I would try to emphasize that more, but I don't think super capitals exist. if this is not solved within the next few updates I don't think we should even bother with this bug tracker. this must be fixed soon.

1.20 is here, and the clone bug remains. It now appears as if the clone villagers take over interactions with the job block, while the original villager that was assigned to that job block wanders around as if it's unemployed. Said original villager still retains its job.

1.21, I seem to have the same issue.

Seems directly related to newborn villagers (only the babies once grown were the ones to take the job from the same block):

If I remove the profession block, it works as expected: The original villager retains its profession (I traded with them past novice), and only the "clone" becomes unemployed:

While if I place the job blocks back,

Expected result: The original villagers would take the job block for themselves as it is required by their persistent profession.

Observed result: The unemployed villagers (seemingly the same exact ones) took the job again:
