This is still a defect.

So this bug is resolved by saying it's a duplicate of a bug that has been resolved by « we don't support M1 » (i.e. « we don't care »).

not a "don't care", it is not a bug that it isn't supported. Lack of feature != bug.

That’s a very blinkered and an engineering level definition of a defect. A better description of a defect is “anything the customer doesn’t like”. Certainly the latter should make it to triage so non-engineers can consider it as it might have tangible consequences for the company’s finances.

Ok, "I don't like creepers", so thatmakes creepers' existence a bug. That's a very flawed definition of a defect.
