Glitch with blocks

Hi, there is glitch on Minecraft Java Edition, when I place a blocks like: fences, doors and chests, they don’t place properly, for example. the chests don’t become a double chest when I place them together, the fences don’t connect to each other when I place them down and the doors don’t look right when I place them down, Please can you fix this glitch. Thank you.
