Baby mobs in Minecraft do not drop XP or loot, to encourage sparing them. This "rule" excludes the hostile and neutral mobs : baby zombies, baby zombie villagers, baby drowned, baby husks, baby zombified piglins.
Piglins drop XP, because they are neutral. However, bay piglins, which are passive, drop XP.
