[MC-252759] Allay not picking up items when spawned by the player

When I spawned two allays in my creative world, i gave them items and they flew to the items on the ground but couldn't pick them up. (I just resolved the issue, please ignore the report).

Was your issue caused by the mobGriefing gamerule?
