Netty version out of date on server.jar

I am hosting a (vanilla) minecraft server, and as long as a user is in the server, I see the error message

Netty Epoll Server IO #2/WARN: Unexpected exception in the selector loop.
io.netty.channel.unix.Errors$NativeIoException: epoll_wait(..) failed: Function not implemented

being logged once per second or so.

This was supposedly fixed as part of MC-252683, but downloading the latest server jar from here still is using the broken netty version. (4.1.76Final, as opposed to 4.1.77).

Does the download at that URL need changing? And is there another place I can track down a server jar that has the fix applied?

is there any way to fix this manually in the meantime?
