When I open OBS as admin or non admin and Minecraft as admin or non admin it crashes when I click the start recording button. Also, I don't think this happened in 1.18. I am running windows 11.
What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft runs smoothly and OBS records Minecraft.
What actually happened was...:
Minecraft crashes after I record with OBS for a second with exit code: -1073740771
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open OBS as admin
2. Open Minecraft Launcher as admin
3. Click play after selecting 1.19.

I switched the recording download format form mp4 to mkv and used x264. Thank you Fazu for the help
Hi, I'm having the same problem but I'm using 1.16.5. As for the settings on OBS I'm using x264 and MKV but the bug isn't resolving, any ideas why?
Edit: I just realised that Minecraft crashes everytime I change windows (Alt+Tab) and I might be able to record if I don't change. I'm going to try it out and will edit with the results!
Edit: I changed the x264 setting to be the same as Streaming and it resolved! xD
Edit 2/1/2023: I don't know why but it's happening again and I haven't changed any settings
Edit: I changed to Hardware (NVENC, HEVC) and it hasn't crashed, will update if it happens again.
Edit: It happened again, will update if I find how to make it work.
Edit: I changed to the low cpu use but high file size and It appears to be working now
Edit: Nope, it still crashes sometimes.
I was having some issues for a couple of months with OBS and Minecraft. Are you using an Nvidia GPU? If so, in OBS Studio under Output and the Recording Tab, do you have Nvenc as the encoder or x264? I had to switch back to x264 from Nvenc.
