Let's be generous and resolve this as a duplicate of MC-140352
WAI, the paths generate with a < 1 integrity, so they don't replace all blocks; additionally, in water, the grass path turns to planks if water was located there. (So non-full bridges because non-full paths, which has been intentionally defined in generation).
