Today I played Minecraft on the server 1.19.1. I wanted to duplicate a lot of Allays! I did it near to a large warehouse of one player, where there are a lot of barrels and chests. When I duplicate 20 or more Allays, the TPS of the server began to decrease and appeared server lags.
Then the admin came to the server, because a good computer where the server is hosted was very laggy. We started to think why the server was lagging if there were no lags when other player also duplicate about 20 Allays, but in a closed room. Β Then we thought that maybe Allay somehow analyzes chests and barrels, I don't know. But since there are a lot of chests and barrels here, Allay analyzes a lot and lags appear on the server. I tried to bring Allays in the ocean, the lags disappeared. Then I brought Allays to my island made of barrels and the lags came back! Please note, with other mobs in these places, the server doesn't lag, but when I bring more than 20 Allays, the server starts lagging.
I'm afraid that if I dublicated 70 or 100 Allays, I could crash the server. And I even wanted to duplicate so many Allays, because Allays are cool! But after that I didn't do it...
So please fix it if you can.
Read about it more carefully. I said not about crash of Minecraft. I said about the possible crash of the server. I will clarify that we didn't bring the server to crash, the server was laggy very much because of to the fact that Allays seemed to analyze a lot of chests or barrels

We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
While the lag occurs, please press F3
+ L
once, then wait a short moment until profiling has finished.
Afterwards, please attach the generated .zip
file containing the profiling results here. The file path is shown in chat; the file can be found in [minecraft/debug/profiling/<DATE>.zip|https://minecrafthopper.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder/]
.
If you are playing on a server please additionally run the command /perf start
to create a profiling report for the server. In case you do not have the permission to run this command, make sure that you're a server operator.
Once profiling has finished, please attach the generated .zip
file from debug/profiling/<DATE>.zip
of the server folder.

I did reproduce this behavior.
I tried a test setup with 1k Entities around ALOT of chests.
1k phantoms caused about 20 MSPT.
1k bats around 10MSPT.
1k allys tho were about 50-60 MSPT.
1k allays without AI were also about 10 MSPT.
I think they, even tho unable to interact with chests or other containers, are still checking their contents.
We have this rn on a survival server, where i build a big storage system.
Close to that are sitting like 20 allays that are being used as a micro XP-Farm.

Thats the thing i built there.
Now when these allays get loaded, server MSPT instantly doubles.
After restart it seems to go away for a while, but still very annoying.
