Being in proximity to someone summoning an iron golem triggers the "Hired Help" advancement

The "Hired Help" advancement states: "Summon an Iron Golem to help defend a village". Source: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Advancement

It is possible to get this advancement by standing close to someone who is building an Iron Golem. From the quoted description I would understand, that it can only be achieved by building it yourself. Is this a bug?

I am making use of this advancement in a command block circuit to check if someone has built an iron golem, but it does not work reliably because of this behviour.
