The issue
The Vanill Cape's texture is not mirrored on the underside, creating a missmatch of textures along the corner.
How to examine
The underside of the cape is best visible when crouch running with a high amount of speed.
Possible Solution:
The underside is mirrored, making the corner textures match.

Here is a basic fix of the described issue, which only accounts for the mirroring of the underside. This however does not account for other issues that are present with the texture:

Important Notes:
The underside of the cape texture is not the only face which is misaligned, or incorrect. Fixing this issue actually ends up making other misalignments more obvious. The left and right side textures seem to be swapped with each other, causing unnatural contrast where it's a dark/light side against a light/dark part of the front side. To create a smoother texture, the light and dark sections should be aligned properly. The top face is also very mismatched, looking unnatural too.
Seeing as the bottom face's misalignment is considered valid, I would highly suggest considering fixing these additional misalignment issues on the two sides, and top of the texture. Doing so leads to a much cleaner and appealing texture.
The first image is the current cape texture, and the second image is the totally fixed cape, with no misalignments or errors:
