Certain textures won't load for older versions, third person view appears as glitched screen.

For some reason, whenever I load an older version of Minecraft (at least 1.7.10 or newer (up to 1.12.2)), the mob textures won't load and only appear as shadow-like creatures. Whenever I toggles perspective, it just comes up with a black screen that glitches out whenever I look around. The same screen comes up whenever I hold any item. Sometimes the screen comes up as soon as I load in a world and stays even when I pause the game. It only happens on older versions as whenever I play at least 1.12.2 or newer, there are no problems. I did not have the same problem before with 1.7.10 but one day it just started happening out of nowhere.
