Today I crafted a enchanted book with 6 enchantments. I wanted to add it to a sword that was newly crafted. Now it says "Too Expensive!".
I have played a lot of Minecraft and of course know that there is a limit to how many times you can use an anvil for an item.
My problem is that this book is now unusable, because it can never be added to an item. This is frustating and feels like a bug. Personally, I think it should not be possible to create books with enchantments if it makes it unusable.

This is not a duplicate.
In my opinion there is a difference between "not adding another enchantment to a Sword" (which is still usable) and "make a book unusable at all" (which is trash now).
Every time you combine items, it gets more expensive to combine it with another one, until, at one point, it straight up is not allowed anymore. That's how anvils always have worked.
