[MC-256937] Skin layers go away upon wearing an elytra.

So basically, I was playing Minecraft and noticed that whenever I wear an elytra, my skin layers go away and it has been bugging me. Is there any way to fix it?

I'm unable to reproduce this issue in both 1.19.2 and 22w43a.
