Sound for activating end portal can be heard everywhere

If I activate an end portal all players can hear it no matter where they are. This happens in snapshot 22w46a.

Not a bug. This is considered one of the global sound events, that toggles with the new game rule, just like dragon/wither death, and wither spawn.

You can disable the sound being global with /gamerule globalSoundEvents false
