Infinite Furnace with coal block when I leave it burning while I go to the nether in hardcore

Left a stack of sand burning after using a coal block, went to the nether for 10+ minutes, came back and it was still on maximum. Closed out and restarted minecraft, still burning at maximum time remaining, put a stack of cobble in it and it kept burning that. On hardcore, didn't seem to be the same on creative, but I didn't test it in other game modes.

A block of coal should be able to cook up to 72 80 items. Also note that while you're in the Nether (unless you're playing multiplayer), the game chunks with your furnace aren't loaded, and thus what your cooking will be in the exact same state when you return. How many blocks have you been able to cook?

Yeah, sorry, didn't see the burn time indicator bug, and forgot that the coal block time grew to 80, so kinda freaked me out when I could keep putting stuff in and it stayed up high. Turned out to be just the visual glitch, of which this is a duplicate. Thanks!
